We recently received livery samples for the exquisite OO scale South Eastern and Chatham Railway Birdcage coaches. These striking coaches will carry three liveries consisting of SE&CR Dark Lake, SR Olive Green and BR Crimson and are expected to be available later this year.

Built as D1629, the locomotive emerged from Crewe Works in 1964 in the then new two tone green livery. Over the next 40 years of work it received another three running numbers along with six different liveries. In 2007 Colas Rail acquired the locomotive and it was named 'Rebecca' at Eastleigh works in the same year. Our model carries the recognisable yellow and orange colours of Colas Rail and comes complete with etched name-plates. Alterations have since been made to the real loco including livery alterations, the fitting of oval buffers and roof modifications.
